Abstract

The present study was built from the master’s degree dissertation work entitled "Possibilities of registration and creation with the use of the cell phone in Performing Arts", linked to the PROFARTES Postgraduate Program, Professional Master's Degree at the Federal University of Maranhão/UFMA/UDESC, belonging to the line “Theoretical-Methodological Approaches to Teaching Practices”. The objective of this proposal was to investigate the possibilities of cellphone use as a tool for recording narrative and participatory creation in teaching and learning in performing arts with high school students, in the integrated modality of IFMA – Campus/São José de Ribamar, carried out between the years of 2018 and 2019. The methodology adopted was of action research with a qualitative-quantitative approach and exploratory-descriptive character. As a result, it was observed that the use of the cellphone as a pedagogical tool contributed to enrich the theatrical practices, the evaluation carried out by the teacher and the self-evaluation of the students, thus making learning, and teaching richer in autonomy, proactivity, and collaboration of students significantly.
