Abstract

This article is based on the first phase of diagnosis of the Linkage Project with Society: TutoScience, whose identified problems are the variations in the academic performance of students of the Experimental Science Education (ECE), who have the training route: UNAE-Yachay-UNAE. TutoScience aims to reduce academic underachievement, lack of motivation and especially university dropout. For this reason, in the first part of this research, a theoretical systematization about educational diagnosis, performance and academic reinforcement and learning communities among students as significant strategies was carried out. The methodology used is a field research, with a mixed approach, applying the technique and instruments of data collection as: a diagnostic evaluation in the different subjects of the curriculum. In the results, the low academic performance in Experimental Sciences was diagnosed. In this sense, it is concluded that these factors are an urgent need for students who move from UNAE to Yachay, so TutoScience will contribute to the collective work between students and graduates from a personalized and group tutoring approach.
