The research shows the results of the comparison of two international evaluation agencies: Inter-institutional Committees for the Evaluation of Higher Education (CIEES) and the agencies recognized by the Council for the Evaluation of Higher Education (COPAES). The objective of the study was to compare the processes of evaluation and/or accreditation of undergraduate programs that these agencies use to make recommendations for the improvement of the quality of academic programs. This leads to the conclusion that both processes, although different, have the same objective: to evaluate and accredit educational programs.
