Education in Honduras is attended to from the perspective of Human Rights, in order for the State to achieve universal coverage throughout the national territory. Based on the above, the objective of this work was to document the profile of the director-supervisor of Public Basic Education Centers (DCEBP) in Danlí/Honduras, for which a cross-sectional quantitative approach was used, applying a survey to 145 directors. The main results show that women predominate in the position of Director-Supervision, with previous teaching experience of at least 10 years that includes practical experience in educational supervision but whose training is not necessarily in the educational area, demanding specific training for the better performance of their duties. It is concluded that in the educational reform in Honduras implemented in the first decade of the 21st century, the follow-up to the supervision of institutional managers responsible for ensuring the efficiency of the educational process is seen as strategic, thus requiring specific training to improve their performance.
