La Augmented reality to reinforce teaching - learning of colors, pronouns and numbers

The purpose of this research is to develop a cell phone application that focuses on the use of augmented reality in order to favor the academic performance of 35 students in the second year of elementary school at Centro Educativo Dr. "Manuel Agustín Aguirre". The paradigm used is interpretative and the research approach is mixed, which allows contrasting the ideas and statistical data coming from the subjects of study. Among the main tools used to collect information were observation and evaluations (initial and final). Among the most significant results, it is evident that, at the beginning, the student evaluation percentages were 38%, while the evaluation percentage after the use of augmented reality was 72%, emphasizing that this type of technology actively contributes to the teaching-learning process. Finally, it is shown that education should be based on the use of new technologies, since they improve and enhance the different skills, abilities and competencies of students.
