The social network TikTok as an emotional projection of adolescents

TikTok as a social network of mobile application has had a great boom with the confinement, but this application is more than just sharing short videos as it is the mirror of the life of users, it puts into action people of different ages, the trends are of dance challenges, performances, tutorials, parodies among others. The objective of this research is to understand the emotions reflected in the TikTok videos seen by adolescents in third year of high school in a public school in the State of Hidalgo during the confinement due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The methodology used was qualitative, of a descriptive-interpretative type, the technical and expressive aspects were analyzed with the purpose of detecting the emotions projected. Among the main results, the use of the TikTok application as a means for the expression of emotions of adolescents during the pandemic stands out; laughter, joy and sadness stand out, as well as the values of coexistence, love and curiosity. It is concluded that technological applications among adolescents allow diversifying the means to express them and share them with family and friends.
