Abstract

The applicability of Teaching Innovation and Active Methodologies plays a prominent role in contemporary educational progress, given that there is evidence of a growing adoption by teachers of various technologies that favor the development of dynamic and autonomous learning in students. The objective of the article is to make a theoretical and methodological approach to Teaching Innovation and its relationship with Active Methodologies in the Bachelor of Education - Pedagogy-Psychology degree at the University of Matanzas. A search is carried out for scientific results published between 2019 and 2023 in SciELO and in publishers of relevance to science. The main results are related to the theoretical review of authors who address the subject under study, the points of coincidence in the research are identified as antecedents and are assumed with a critical sense. It is concluded that Teaching Innovation provides a favorable approach to the application of Active Methodologies as a way to contribute to the improvement in the training of professionals in the Pedagogy - Psychology degree at the University of Matanzas. It is recommended to investigate the impacts that such training has on the professional pedagogical performance of teachers in the aforementioned career.
