Objective: To strengthen teaching and learning strategies in synchronous virtual tutoring sessions for professional internships through a pedagogical redesign based on active learning and continuous feedback. Methods: An innovation project was developed in the Occupational Therapy program at Andrés Bello University, Viña del Mar campus. This project included an initial assessment of the virtual tutoring sessions and the design of a pedagogical strategy aimed at improving didactic coherence, tutor-student interaction, and practical learning. Results: The preliminary assessment revealed limitations in the tutoring methods, particularly in interaction and the pedagogical use of technology. The need to update teaching strategies using technological and methodological resources that promote active student participation and critical reflection was identified. Conclusions: The proposed model seeks to improve the quality of practical training in virtual contexts and serves as a transferable reference for strengthening tutoring processes in other higher education programs.
