Abstract

Reading and writing, in addition to being pillars of the educational process, are macro-skills that allow for the expression and dissemination of knowledge. The objective of this research is to develop a digital journal using the Padlet platform for Language and Literature among tenth-grade students at the San Juan Bautista Catholic School to improve reading comprehension skills and contribute to the development of critical thinking, collaborative work, and autonomous learning. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, is applied, and cross-sectional. Participant observation and interviews were used for the diagnostic phase, while statistical methods (Torgeson Method) were used for the verification phase. A digital journal was implemented using the Padlet platform for Language and Literature. The proposal was submitted to seven specialists at the institution for analysis, and all considered it highly suitable after applying the Torgerson Method, with N-P values ranging from -0.046 to 0.054. After the application, the perceptions of the students were evaluated with excellent results according to the Net Promoters index for the four skills with values in the interval 71.43 to 95.23, all above 50 percentage units.
