Ecuadorian families and the transition of distance education in times of pandemic

Abstract

The objective of this article was to describe the role of Ecuadorian families and the transition of distance education in times of pandemic. Due to the social distancing implemented as a biosecurity measure to mitigate its spread. Since, in an imprint way, distance education was implemented to continue with the teaching and learning process. Because of this, families play a fundamental role in the development of virtual activities and classes from home; because, different are the reasons that affect family groups to follow up on teaching plans. Now, it was a descriptive and documentary study, the data collection was carried out through documentary analysis as a technique and a file as an instrument; the units of analysis were made up of three publications under inclusion criteria. The results evidenced the need to include family groups to strengthen values ​​between the parties. Consequently, it is necessary to create inclusive spaces where families are provided with training to support and intervene efficiently in the teaching and learning of students.
