Abstract

In the system of relationships between human beings, inadequate gender stereotypes are generated, which become decisive in their overcoming, which is why the school has the mission through the incorporation of the gender perspective, to educate the culture of the equality with the transmission of values ​​that avoid exclusion and discrimination between boys and girls. Within the framework of these efforts, the "Educating with equality" project was carried out in five primary education centers, (1-4 grade), in the Tercer Frente municipality, Santiago de Cuba province, during the 2021 academic year, under the principle of coeducation, incorporating teachers, students, family and other members of the coeducational community. The article aims to offer the main results achieved in the project. For the collection of information, methods such as interview, questionnaire and observation were used, allowing to verify that the project offered a co-educational tool, which made it possible to enter and strengthen new actions to be developed in terms of gender equality and equity, thus achieving, enhance educational processes. that collaborate to dismantle gender stereotypes as an unavoidable step to overcome discrimination and violence in all its manifestations.
