Abstract

The objective of this article is to argue the implementation of the postmethod as a methodological alternative to contribute to teaching innovation in the teaching-learning process of English as a foreign language. The main result of the theoretical review carried out is to highlight the need to provide English language teachers with a spirit of innovation in response to a contemporary trend in Higher Education in the world and especially in Cuba. This proposal is based on positions of various authors who were studied and the main trends in teaching English as a second language today.
